On this installment of AMC Mail Bag (Sunday September 28th 2014) we take the following viewer emails.

Kiran G writes: Hello AMC Movie talk crew, love the show and watch it everyday to learn what's going on in the world of movies. Anyway, I was wondering if you heard anything about a Tin Tin two or the Magic Kingdom movie John Favreau was going to direct? I loved the Adventures of Tin Tin and the Magic Kingdom Movie sounded interesting. Keep up the great work!

Matthew Keith writes: I love your show and watch it everyday! I recently heard a rumor that Avenger 3 could possibly be split into 2 movies. And with a villain as big and bad as Thanos wielding the Infinity Gauntlet (should that be what the film is based on) I think it would make sense to do so. However, I've been waiting long enough for the big showdown with Thanos and wouldn't want to wait yet another film to see that fight. What would think about the Avengers 3 being split into two films, assuming the rumor is true?

Adam Choate writes: Hey, thanks you guys for answering my questions, it makes my day! I appreciate your opinions, and you really make compelling arguments and sometimes even make me see a whole other side to something. I would like to know how you guys got started and associated with AMC, because you have a really great crew! Schnepp is my favorite, but you guys are all equally awesome! Thanks and I hope you guys have a great day!

Peter Herff writes: Hey AMC Crew! Was just pondering life the other day, and thought about the absurd (billions of dollars) cost that studios incur to acquire IP’s like Star Wars, etc. Now I know it’s been discussed before that Sony will probably never give up their rights to Spider-Man, but if they did, what says that they couldn’t sell them to a studio other than Marvel proper?

Christian writes: Hello AMC! John, I noticed you said that you were the only one who thought of the idea of Ben Affleck being cast as the Batman. I went back through your YouTube page and saw the video. My question is how did you know? What gave you the assumption?  Thanks man!

Bobby writes: I am wondering about any inside news about the Rocknrolla sequel, The Real Rocknrolla. The last I heard, Guy Ritchie has written the script and said that he has people to pay him to make it, but he just needs to find the time. I know that Elba, Hardy, Kebbell and Butler are becoming bigger stars and have a lot on their respective plates and will probably be hard to get them together for a couple months to make it. But, have you guys heard any other news about this movie getting made? I love Rocknrolla and can't wait for the sequel... and possibly a third one. Thank you so much, keep up the great work!

Josh Lee writes: Now that the summer movie season is over and were in the awkward few weeks before the Fall/ Oscar season what are your top five movies of the year so far. Thanks and bring on the filthy

Jack Schneides writes: Hey AMC Movie Talk I recently subscribed to your channel and I love the content. My question is that Michael Mann has a new movie coming called Blackhat that I am sure you have heard of. He has directed some of my favourite movies of all time such as Heat and Collateral. A trailer just came out for it and I think it looks great my only worry is that its coming out in January which is the toilet bowl season of movies what are your thoughts on this release date?

Harry Green writes: This is more of a prediction in I believe that there will be more fans disappointed after seeing Interstellar vs Jupiter Ascending.  I say this b/c Christopher Nolan is such a dam good director that the expectation level is going to be so high for this movie.  And the farther your expectation is from what you end up getting is your degree of disappointment.  On the other hand I think The Wakowskis are due for a 2nd Block Buster hit.  And this could be the 2nd coming of Blade Runner.  Meaning that it surprises everyone with how good the story and visuals are.

On this episode of AMC Mail Bag (Saturday September 27th 2014) we take the following viewer emails:

Adam Choate writes: Hey guys! I heard the University of Baltimore was starting a film course over the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I think it sounds awesome! I would love to know your thoughts on this! And what hero would you major in?

David Citron writes: Hey guys, love the show! Been watching since Schnepp joined the crew and been with ya ever since. What do you think about the rumors of Viggo Mortensen being in talks for the Hateful 8?

Aaron writes: Hey AMC Movie Talkers, love your show. My question is about the upcoming Deadpool movie. So far you only talked about whether it will be rated R or PG-13. But to be honest, that's not what's bothering me. I would rather like to know why they're releasing the film in February. Doesn't the studio trust Deadpool enough to survive the summer movie season? After all, Deadpool can survive almost anything ;) Cap3 comes out in April and the next big comic book movie that year will be "Shazam" in August. So why don't they release Deadpool in June or July?

Ryan Kresback writes: Hey AMC movie talkers! My question is do you think Fox is making a mistake with having the Xmen face Apocalpyse so soon? Do you think they should have taken The Avengers route and save there big bad guy for last?

Malcolm McIntyre writes: Hello AMC love your show. I was just wondering if you have heard any news on what role Matt Damons role will be in Christopher Nolan's Interstellar. As he is Uncredited on IMDb. Just seems strange to me to have such a big star in a big movie being Uncredited.

Danny Nand writes: Hello AMC Crew, There have been rumours on various websites that William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy will reunite in Star Trek 3. Do you guys have any inside info about this? I think it would be huge if this was true especially with the 50th Anniversary of Star Trek coming up. Many fans including myself have fond memories of the Original Series and would love to see the original Kirk and Spock reunite one more time as the friendship between the characters is one of the great things about Star Trek.

Sherri Gumpert writes: Hello amc crew been watching for the longest time now. My question is about hot tub time machine 2. Its marketing is just terrible. I only saw one red band trailer and nothing else. Im a huge fan of the first and would hate to see this fail. Thanks and bring on the filthy.

Henning Tvedten writes: Hi guys! What do yo think of the choice of Christopher McQuarrie as director for MI5, personally I think his direction on Jack Reacher was fine, but inconsistent in terms of humor and tone. Have a good one:)

On this installment of AMC Mail Bag we take the following viewer emails:

Daniel Karraa writes: Hey AMC crew love the show. I remember late into the production of Edge of Tomorrow, possibly even after for re-shoots, Jeremy Piven was cast in a crucial role as Col. Walter Marx. I saw the movie (which I loved) and he wasn't in the finished product. I was wondering what you thought happened to his part, and where his character fit into the story? Thanks and keep up the great work!

Viktor Georgsson writes: I heard a rumor few weeks ago that Marvel had already chosen an actor to play Dr.strange and then hidden him in plain sight . I don't remember whether you have talked about this before, but what do you think the probability is that Andy Serkis is Dr. Strange?

Matt Long writes: Hello AMC movie talk been watching your show everyday and it's become a big addiction. Anyways, my question is what are your favorite movie plot twists? Mine is The Prestige. Thanks and bring on the filthy!

Jeff writes: Hey, since it's being reported that Kevin Feige is assistant producing for fox... Will we see some crossovers?

Nathan Diggs writes: Hello AMC movie family I have a quick question..... With the Deadpool movie being announced can fox make a pg13 and a rated r movie and release them at the movies and let people decide which one they want to see.

Kyle West writes: While I think that ratings are super important to have, I absolutely hate the fact that films get scenes cut just to appease the ratings system. As a fan of the horror movie genre I find this particularly irritating that scenes get cut up (pun intended!) because someone other than the films director or editor decided that it would be within my best interest if I didn't see an extra .3 seconds of something horrible happening on screen. I think it is fine that movies get rated but don't think those people should have any say in what content gets cut from them. What do you all think?

Windsor Wong writes: I've been a fan for the show for almost  20 months now, and NEVER missed one episode. My question is, why does AMC enforce the MPAA ratings system? In fact, why would any theatre choose to do that? If I remember correctly, there is no legal ground for it to be enforced. So why does the theatre get to tell us what to watch?  it really frustrates me a lot, cause sometimes I don't notice the rating of film until I'm asked for my ID. Also, the rating is not always true to the film. Some films get away with lots of swearing&violence, while some get extra harsh ratings.
