While we know that Avengers: Infinity War will feature the largest ensemble of superheros ever to assemble in an MCU movie, what we don’t know is the amount of screen-time each character will feature. That is none more apparent with the newly introduced Spider-Man; who makes his long awaited debut in the MCU this July 7th in Spider-Man Homecoming. Fandango got to talking about Spidey during the Homecoming press junket, where they asked Kevin Feige how much the wall-crawler will feature in the upcoming Avengers movie. Feige replied: “I think it might feel bigger a little bit because of Homecoming and because of what people know from it, but it’s about on par with [Civil War].” As for Tom Holland’s reaction to being a part of Infinity War and how big it will be, Collider’s own Steve Frosty Weintraub was able to get his thoughts on the movie. Here’s a clip: Throw to Clip

Deadline is reporting that Baby Driver star Ansel Elgort has signed on to play John F. Kennedy in the drama Mayday 109; a movie based on the 1943 sinking of Kennedy’s PT boat during World War II. Kennedy was the commander of patrol torpedo boat PT 109 in the South Pacific when it was rammed by a Japanese destroyer Amagin. With the crew presumed dead by allies, Kennedy led the 11 survivors in swimming to a deserted island, where the crew had to hide from passing Japanese barges. A director has not been attached and a release date has yet to be determined.

A24 has unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming crime thriller Good Time. The film comes from Heaven Knows What filmmakers Josh and Benny Safdie and stars Robert Pattinson as a robber who finds himself desperate for cash when a botched robbery sends his younger brother to prison; with the events taking place over the course of one night on the streets of New York City. The film also stars Benny Safdie, Barkhad Abdi, and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Good Time opens in theaters on August 11th.

THR is reporting that Captain Phasma herself, Gwendoline Christie, is the latest to join Robert Zemeckis' drama at Universal. The still untitled feature star Steve Carell as Mark, a man who builds a miniature WWII-era village as a way to recover from a violent assault. Christie will be playing Mark's Russian caretaker, Anna. Zemeckis directs and produces from a screenplay he wrote with Caroline Thompson. A release date has not been set.

The Film Arcade has unveiled the first trailer for the upcoming comedy I Do…Until I Don’t. The film comes from writer/director/star Lake Bell and revolves around three couples who find themselves involved in a filmmaker’s quest to prove that marriages should only last seven years. Bell made her directorial debut with the comedy ‘In a World…’ a few years ago, and returns as director and star alongside Ed Helms, Amber Heard, Wyatt Cenac, Mary Steenburgen and Paul Reiser.  I Do…Until I Don’t opens in theaters on September 1st.

Yet another report from THR has shined some light on more problems behind the scenes on the Young Han Solo movie. The report notes that when production moved from London to the Canary Islands back in May, original editor Chris Dickens was replaced with Oscar-winning editor Pietro Scalia, who works frequently with Ridley Scott. Lucasfilm was also reportedly “not entirely satisfied” with the performance by Alden Ehrenreich so they hired an acting coach to come in and work with him. Further, THR details that it was clear Lord and Miller would not be changing their improvisational style, resulting in less options in the editing room in terms of coverage. Ron Howard has now taken over directing duties, reporting to set yesterday to begin directing reshoots and additional photography that will reportedly push the production well into September. As of now, the movie is still scheduled for release on May 25th, 2018

Deadline is reporting that Warner Bros is mounting a sequel to the 2016 hit The Accountant with Screenwriter Bill Dubuque, director Gavin O’Connor and Ben Affleck all in talks to return. The trade notes that as soon as the deals close, all three will then work out the beats of the story, which will likely also include Jon Bernthal, who played the hitman brother of Affleck’s character in the first film. The film grossed a solid $155.1 million worldwide and has found some legs after its home video release. A release date has yet to be determined.

In a report from Deadline, New Line and Warner Bros. are moving forward on The Conjuring 3, hiring Conjuring 2 screenwriter David Leslie Johnson to pen the script. James Wan, who directed the first two films of the franchise, will return as a producer but will not be directing this time. There is no word yet on who might fill in as director. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are both expected to return as The Conjuring 3 will also be based on another of the real-life case files of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. No release date has been set at this time.

STXfilms has released the first trailer for The Foreigner, the action thriller directed by Casino Royale‘s Martin Campbell that stars Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan. Set in London, the film is based on the 1992 novel The Chinaman, with Chan playing Quan, a man who loses his daughter in a bombing and seeks justice against the rogue Irish bombers who took her from him. When an official named Liam Hennessy (Brosnan), reveals evidence that the explosion was the work of a conspiracy, the news sends Chan’s special forces agent on a path of revenge. The movie is set for release on September 28th

With Spider-Man Homecoming less than two weeks away, Tom Holland is making the press rounds to promote the movie. And with Sony also developing their own shared universe with the upcoming Venom starring Tom Hardy, fans are hoping to get definitive confirmation that the two will cross over into the same universe. In an exclusive interview with Collider’s own Steve “Frosty” Weintraub, Frosty asked if the two characters are indeed separate universes. Here’s a clip.

Via a report from Slashfilm, Josh Trank is finally moving forward on his follow up to Fantastic Four, hitting Instagram to announce filming on Fonzo – a film adaptation of the life of Al Capone that will star Tom Hardy – will begin production this summer in New Orleans. The movie isn’t a conventional biopic and will instead begin with Capone at age 47 after he spent a decade in prison, with dementia rotting his mind. Once freed, Capone’s past becomes present as memories of his violent and brutal beginnings melt into his waking life. The movie will hit theatres sometime in 2018.

It’s Monday which means it’s time for the weekend box office report. Transformers The Last Knight opened to a franchise low, taking the No 1 spot with $45.3 million over the weekend for a combined $69.1 million over five days. Disney's Cars 3 and DC Film’s Wonder Woman tied for the No 2 and 3 spots, with both studios reporting an estimated $25.175 million weekend. Wonder Woman dropped only 39% in its fourth weekend in release and has a domestic total just shy of $320 million. 47 Meters Down tool the No 4 spot with an estimated $7.4 million, bringing its domestic total to $24 million. And rounding out the top five is Lionsgate's All Eyez On Me. The movie dropped nearly 80% in its second weekend with an estimated $5.85 million as its domestic total now hitting $38.6 million.

In a report from Starwarsnewsnet.com, Young Han Solo himself, Alden Ehrenreich, was one of the first to bring up concerns to producers that the Han Solo movie was heading off course. As was reported by multiple outlets, Lord and Miller’s loose approach on set started to change the story and tone of the movie. It was Ehrenreich who then started to worry about the screwball comedy angle, and felt it was interfering with the character of Han Solo. A source for Starwarsnewnet.com described it as being “oddly comparable to Jim Carrey’s performance in Ace Ventura at times.” Ehrenreich let his concerns be known and Kennedy and Company looked over existing footage.

Michael Bay recently came out saying that Transformers The Last Knight would be his last Transformers movie behind the camera as director. Not so fast, says Mark Wahlberg. In an interview promoting The Last Knight with Comicbook.com, Wahlberg told the outlet he believes there’s more Bayhem left in the director.

According to a report from Deadline, Amblin Entertainment and Mythology Entertainment have set Eli Roth to direct and Jack Black to star in The House With A Clock In Its Walls, an adaptation of the 1973 John Bellairs book. Eric Kripke wrote the script that tells the tale of a recently orphaned 10-year-old boy who discovers a world of hidden passageways, magic and danger in his uncle’s old house.

According to Deadline, Neve Campbell has signed on to co-star with Dwayne the Rock Johnson in Universal Pictures and Legendary’s Skyscraper. In the movie, Johnson plays U.S. war veteran Will Ford, who now assesses security for skyscrapers. On assignment in China he finds the tallest, safest building in the world suddenly ablaze, and he’s been framed for it. As a wanted man on the run, Will must find those responsible and somehow rescue his family who is trapped inside the building, above the fire line.

Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions have released the first trailer for the true story drama Stronger. Directed by Pineapple Express’s David Gordon Green, the film stars Jake Gyllenhaal as Jeff Bauman, an ordinary man who became a symbol of heroism and strength after losing both of his legs during the tragic 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.

Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Pictures have released the first trailer for Thank You for Your Service, the military drama starring Miles Teller. The film follows a group of U.S. soldiers returning from Iraq who struggle to integrate back into family and civilian life, while living with the memory of a war that threatens to destroy them long after they’ve left the battlefield. The movie features an ensemble cast led by Miles Teller that also includes Haley Bennett and Amy Schumer. American Sniper screenwriter Jason Hall wrote the screenplay and makes his directorial debut, with the movie set for release on October 27th.

Sony is moving full-speed ahead on their Spider-Man spinoff Venom with Tom Hardy signing on to star and Ruben Fleischer on board to direct. While it’s still unclear how Venom’s story will work without connecting to Spider-Man, one thing we do know, according to an in depth article at THR, is that Carnage will be the villain opposite Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock. Also included in the article is word that Sony is also developing films based around Mysterio, a master of illusions, and Kraven the Hunter – a big game hunter who believes Spider-Man is the greatest game in the world. No details about directors or release dates at this time.

A new, in depth look in the form of a featurette has debuted online for Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming Blade Runner 2049. This Sunday will mark the 35th anniversary of the first Blade Runner, and it was EW who unveiled the featurette offering a ton of never-before-seen footage that also includes Villeneuve, Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Jared Leto and Ridley Scott discussing the impact the original film had on Science Fiction and what we can look forward to with 2049. According to a new report from Bleeding Cool, reliable sources for the site claim a new Fantastic Four movie is being developed at 20th Century Fox Studios concentrating on Franklin and Valeria, the children of Reed Richards and Susan Storm; with the Thing and the Human Torch still featuring as the other two members of the team. The current draft is being described as more kid friendly in tone, with Bleeding Cool comparing the approach to Pixar’s The Incredibles. The site also states that Seth Grahame-Smith is penning the script.

After seven years out of the horror game, the Saw franchise is heading back to theaters this fall with its eighth installment in the franchise. The film has been going under the working title Saw: Legacy but just yesterday it was revealed that the official title will now be Jigsaw. Jigsaw, introduced in the first movie in the franchise, was the murderous mastermind behind the varied, horrific traps that saw the end of countless victims throughout its seven movies.
