On this episode of Collider Movie Talk (Wednesday, April 26th, 2017) John Campea, Jeremy Jahns, Jon Schnepp, Perri Nemiroff, Ashley Mova and Wendy Lee discuss the following:

1) Star Wars Episode 9 moves back to summer for 2019 release

2) Vince McMahon WWE Biopic Pandemonium lands at TriStar

3) Madonna biopic in the works

4) Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner cast as Timon and Pumba in The Lion King; release date announced.

5) Disney delays Indiana Jones 5, sets Frozen 2

6) Will Smith in talks to star in Gemini Man for Ang Lee

7) Mail Bag

8) Live Twitter

Disney announced a slew of new release dates for their upcoming films but the one that is making the biggest splash is the announcement that Star Wars Episode 9 is headed back to its summer roots. The first three Star Wars movies to come from Disney included The Force Awakens, Rogue One and this December’s The Last Jedi; which were all given a holiday release that has proved very successful at the box office. Instead of following that same plan however, Disney has now opted to release Star Wars: Episode 9 for release on May 24th, 2019, coming one year after the Young Han Solo movie that is also currently set for May 25th, 2018.

THR reports that TriStar Pictures is in negotiations to distribute a Vince McMahon biopic entitled Pandemonium, with Crazy, Stupid, Love directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa in talks to helm from a script by Craig A. Williams. American Sniper producer Andrew Lazar recently secured the rights to McMahon’s life-rights, putting together a package to take out to studios with multiple studios bidding on before TriStar won out. McMahon is best known for creating the national sensation and obsession known as World Wrestling Entertainment, aka WWE, and launching the careers of Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to name just a few.

THR is reporting that Universal has picked up Blond Ambition, a Madonna biopic written by Elyse Hollander, from a script that topped the 2016 Black List. Michael De Luca, who produced Fifty Shades of Grey for Universal, is attached to produce along with Brett Ratner’s RatPac Entertainment.

The Wrap is reporting that Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner have been added to the cast as Timon and Pumbaa in the new live action remake of The Lion King, with Disney also dating the movie for release on July 19th, 2019. They join James Earl Jones, who is reprising his role as Mufasa, Donald Glover as Simba and Beyonce Knowles as Nala.

In a wide press announcement released to every major outlet, Disney has dated a number of high profile films for their upcoming release slate. While Star Wars Episode 9 was one of the bigger announcements to hit, Disney also officially dated Frozen 2 just before Thanksgiving on Wednesday, November 27th, 2019. Originally set for July 2019, Disney also moved the fifth Indiana Jones movie one year later to July 10th, 2020.

THR is reporting that Will Smith is in negotiations to star in Gemini Man, Skydance’s high-concept action thriller with Ang Lee in negotiations to direct. The movie is based on one of Hollywood’s long-unproduced scripts in which an aging assassin finds himself in a battle with the ultimate opponent: his clone, who is 25 years younger and at the peak of his abilities. The movie will be produced by mega-producer Jerry Bruckheimer, with a release date not yet determined.

1) First trailer released for The Kingsman

2) Avengers 4 title a spoiler according to Kevin Feige; says story for Avengers 4 will be similar to Infinity Gauntlet

3) Opening This Week: The Circle

4) Hell or High Water director David Mackenzie to possibly reteam with Chris Pine and Ben Foster in Outlaw King

5) Martin Scorsese might team with Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro in Killers of the Flower Moon

6) Taissa Farmiga Joins Conjuring Spinoff The Nun

7) Mail Bag

8) Live Twitter Questions

The first trailer for Kingsman: The Golden Circle was released last evening, giving us our first, good look at Matthew Vaughnn’s anticipated follow up. In The Golden Circle, when the Kingsman’s headquarters are destroyed and the world is held hostage, Eggsy and his crew discover an allied spy organization in the US called the Statesman that date back to the day they were both founded.

As Marvel continues filming its epic Avengers movie, Collider recently learned from Kevin Feige that both Infinity War and Avengers 4 would not be filmed back to back in order for the filmmakers to concentrate on one movie at a time. That leaves the second movie as still untitled, something Kevin Feige told Cinema Blend would actually spoil the movie if released. When Feige was pressed if Thanos is in both movies or just Infinity War, he replied, “They’re two very different movies. That’s all I’ll say.” Collider also caught up with Feige at the press day for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, where he was asked if the movie would follow the Gauntlet storyline and introduce the popular Death character in either Infinity War or the untitled Avengers 4.

Deadline reports that the director and stars of Hell Or High Water are in final talks to re-team for Outlaw King, an epic period drama that will tell a different take of the Braveheart story in which Robert The Bruce led his country to freedom from the oppressive rule of England in Scotland.

Deadline reports that the book to film adaptation of Killers Of The Flower Moon: The Osage Murders And The Birth Of The FBI is looking at none other than Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro to bring to the silver screen. The adaptation was written by Forest Gump writer Eric Roth, and tells the true story about multiple murder of members of the Osage Indian tribe in Oklahoma that occurred after they found oil on their lands. Things were so bad that the federal government had to step in, with an up and coming FBI agent known as J. Edgar Hoover leading the investigation.

Deadline is reporting that Taissa Farmiga, sister to Vera Farmiga, has been tapped to star as the young nun alongside recently cast Demián Bichir in the New Line Produced Conjuring spin-off The Nun. The movie is the second movie set within The Conjuring universe.

The first trailer for Kingsman: The Golden Circle was released this morning finally giving us our first, full look at Matthew Vaughnn’s anticipated follow up. In The Golden Circle, when the Kingsman’s headquarters are destroyed and the world is held hostage, Eggsy and his crew discover an allied spy organization in the US called the Statesman that date back to the day they were both founded. In a new adventure that tests their agents’ strength and wits to the limit, these two elite secret organizations band together to defeat a ruthless common enemy in order to save the world.

Breaking last weekend, it’s finally been announced by Fox that James Cameron’s long promised Avatar 2 has begun filming with release dates finally set for Dec. 18, 2020, followed by Avatar 3 on Dec. 17, 2021 and then three years later for Avatar 4 on Dec. 20, 2024 and Avatar 5 on Dec. 19, 2025.

It’s Monday which means it’s time for the weekend box office report. In its second weekend of release, The Fate of the Furious took the No 1 spot, performing as expected and dropping 61% in its second weekend and bringing in an estimated $38.6 million as its domestic cume now climbs to $163.6 million. Fox's The Boss Baby took the No 2 spot with $12.75 million and Beauty and the Beast dropped 28% as it took in $9.97 million for the No 3 spot. In the No 4 spot was Disney’s Born in China, which took in an estimated $5.1 million in its first weekend and rounding out the top five is WB's Going in Style, which made an estimated $5 million.

Fox has finally set the much anticipated Deadpool 2 for prime summer release date of June 1st, 2018, the first title to land on the date. Ryan Reynolds returns as the merc with a mouth, this time alongside newcomers Josh Brolin as the popular mutant Cable along with Atlanta breakout star Zazie Beetz as the mutant mercenary Domino.

In addition to release dates for Deadpool 2 and Avatar 2, 20th Century Fox also announced a third X-Men movie for release in 2018, confirming the title as well in X-Men: Dark Phoenix. The movie will hopefully give fans a long promised do over for the Dark Phoenix saga that wasn’t well received in Brett Ratner’s X-Men The Last Stand. Dark Phoenix will open in theaters on November 2nd, 2018, which follows another new X-Men movie with the April release of New Mutants.

Deadline is reporting that Universal Pictures has put a Fast and Furious spinoff in the works, focusing on the characters originated by Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.

Deadline is reporting that Will Smith is in talks to take on the iconic genie role made famous by the late Robin Williams in Disney’s live-action Aladdin directed by Guy Ritchie. The adaptation of the animated feature follows the studio’s live action slate of films that has recently exploded with a 1 billion haul from Beauty of the Beast; and will follow with the retellings of Dumbo, The Lion King and now, Aladdin.

Variety is reporting that Fox Searchlight has given an awards season release date to Guillermo del Toro’s fantasy film The Shape of Water. The film stars Sally Hawkins, Michael Shannon, Richard Jenkins, Doug Jones and Octavia Spencer and is about a lonely government facility janitor whose life is changed when she discovers and falls in love with an aquatic man — played by Jones — who is being held captive for testing.

In a recent interview with Blackfilm.com, standout Deadpool actress Leslie Uggams, who played the loveable yet fierce Blind Al opposite Ryan Reynolds, confirmed she would return for its sequel in Deadpool 2.

Focus Features has released the first official trailer for The Beguiled, the new film from director Sofia Coppola that stars Colin Farrell, Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning. The story takes place at an all-girls school in Virginia 1864 , during the Civil War when a wounded Union soldier is discovered nearby and taken in, upsetting the balance of the school that has been sheltered from the outside world.

Earlier this year, Woody Harrelson mounted an experimental production by filming a movie live and broadcasting it movie theatres for one night only. The movie, shot in real time and with one continuous shot (and only one camera) is written, directed and starring Harrelson and is entitled Lost in London. Based on a true experience Harrelson had in 1992, the film finds him learning that he’s the subject of the latest celebrity tabloid scandal.

A new international trailer has been released for Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales and it finally confirms the return of Keira Knightley’s Elizabeth Swann; who is featured in the all new footage from the trailer. Johnny Depp also returns to the big screen as the iconic anti-hero Jack Sparrow alongside Geoffrey Rush as Captain Barbosa and Orlando Bloom as Will Turner.

Some new photos from the upcoming Kingsman: The Golden circle were released by Empire and Entrainment Weekly coming just before 20th Century Fox debuted a tease of the new trailer – which is the entire trailer condensed to just 15 seconds.

The first trailer has been released for American Assassin starring Dylan O’Brien and Michael Keaton. The movie will tell the story of O’Brien as Mitch Rapp, a CIA recruit who is first seen on the beach of a tropical resort, proposing to his fiancée. Moments later, a terrorist attack tears his world apart leaving a grief-stricken Rapp motivated to serve in a black ops mission aimed at stopping World War III in the Middle East.

Gunpowder & Sky have released the first red-band trailer for The Little Hours online. Written and directed by I Heart Huckabees writer Jeff Baena and based on The Decameron novel by Giovanni Boccaccio, the film stars Aubrey Plaza, Alison Brie, and Kate Micucci as foul-mouthed nuns who begin preying upon a hired hand.
